CONSTELLATIONS

‘Constellations’ is a project where the material dictated the outcome. My first contact with chemigram was sort of coincidental, but all of my gears started turning. Experimenting with photopaper and chemicals in such a new way opened my eyes. So direct, so fysical and so analogue. I immediately wanted to explore how abstract I could go.

‘Constellations’ is inspired by my first experience of true stargazing. Stargazing is something that unfortuinately isn’t really possible in The Netherlands. Too much light pollution prevents a clear view. The breathtaking, bright and wide. The feeling that it’s almost so close you can touch it, yet so far away.
